Webcam with no software dilemna?

i have this creative webcam and it used to have this software that i installed..then when my pc got repaired and cleaned up the software got deleted and i have no idea where's its installation cd now...my question is if there's some freeware out there that would allow my webcam to function again...'cause i tried just plugging it and pressed its on on but nothing happened......
