How long will it take for the "Addiction and Theft" segment of Cindy McCain's bio to disappear from Wikipedia?

I think that people have a right to know about the people who might occupy the White House, especially when it involves firing whistle blowers. Does Wikipedia have safeguards that protect stuff like this from tampering?
