What do i need to be an engineer?

Hello Im from czech republic and ive been living in uk for 5 years and i want to be an engineer in the future im in year 9 now so what levels do i need? and on what like maths etc and by the way do i need to worry about my levels now? or when i get to year 10+? My levels are not so good now but im sure i can improve next year?
