Ford Bronco II gas not reaching engine after driving a few min and/or hot?

do you have a throttle body ? if you have a regular motorcraft carb, then there is a little screen filter located under your needle seat in your carb. gets a piece of trash under it and stays there floating around, runs great sometimes, until trash moves up, then settles back down.......Barry
