Some churches get volunteers to do this. Its good for the seniors to have visitors. When my daughter was younger, her scout troop adopted some seniors at a close by nursing home and the girls took turns visiting and bringing them treats.

Sorry but get his nuts chopped quick!!! You may want to talk to your vet about giving him some hormone shots for a short period of time, while he settles down. For some reason, some geldings will respond very well to Depo shots that are usually given to mares monthly. Also get him into work get rid of this built up energy and stress! He needs to be more managable before you put him out with others, if you don't you could be putting your other horses in a dangerous situation, you need to make sure that his "stallion" tendencies are gone.

I think you need time to mend from the split...you probably should let your heart and mind mend for a time because you don't want to NEED someone else... 'kay? They should ADD to your childrens' life and yours as well...but you shouldn't feel like you NEED someone else... or if that ends too for some reason then you will feel like you do now.
